Lengang!!!...

Today is Christmas day... everybody balik kampung kot?!!.. sunyi sepi jer 3rd Avenue... ade la satu dua buses and cars lalu... kedai sume tutuppss... (5th and Madison Avenue yg lagi berlambak shopping outlets tu tak tau la... kitorang dok rumah jer... malas nak kuar...).

This situation reminds me of Chinese New Year kat KL... semua kedai tutup... so nak beli garam sebungkus pun terpaksa drive gi Giant! (sib baik Giant bukak...). But here's even worse... Macy's yg sebesar2 KLCC tu pun tutup jugaks!!.. (dah penat buat $$$ sampai Christmas eve la tu....)

Keadaan jalan yg lengang ni pun reminds me of Hari Raya kat KL... hehehe... best!.. dari Cheras balik kampung Sg. Besi, 5 mins jer bawak kereta... muahahaha... Abaji speeding.... polis cuti (tak pun bz buat speed trap PLUS highway).... so line clear!!..

Aaaaahhh... windu la nak balik M'sia.... uwaawaawaaaaa!!..

NYRO Family Day

Last night was the Families' Night Out for BNM NY Representative Office (NYRO). Ni kira lebih kurang sama la dgn Family Day kalau kat HQ KL. But instead of going to Sunway Lagoon (Family Day @ Sunway Lagoon almost every year kat KL... mana lagi suitable place yg dekat mau pegi...) kitorang pegi tengok Broadway show kat Times Square (Times Square Manhattan ye.. is very much different than Times Square KL). Since this is the time for kids to enjoy, so we all pegi tengok Marry Poppins the Musical la... *nak tengok Mama Mia kang.. mak2 budak pulak yg enjoy!* And luckily, it wasn't snow that night... 3 degree celcius... not to bad la.... naik taxi lagi pun.

Kakak Hanna enjoyed the show very much... tergedik2 on my lap dia berjoget2... but only for the 1st half time... another 2nd half dia dah tertido... pastu terbangun2 and merengek2... Abaji mmg dah dari awal bermuka kelat. *Unlike me... he doesn't appreciates this kind of entertainment at all!* To avoid Hanna membuat onar in the theater perpaksa la kitorang balik before the show ended. Ape la Hanna ni!.. Suh tido siang tak mau... kan dah rugi mak tak dpt tgk show... $86 per head beb!! (dah start nak convert to RM la tu...). Nasib baik free, Bank bayar... tak de la terkilan sgt!

But for me.. citer budak2 tu... I tak kisah sgt la. I enjoyed PGL more!

My Little Star goes Pampersless

Nope... she's wearing Huggies so Hanna is now Huggiesless! Yeayy...!! Mak and Abaji sooo happy (jimat $$$).

It's been quite sometimes Hanna tak pakai diapers during the day... but when it's time to poo... or pee... sure dia merengek tak nak pegi toilet! Kalau dudukkan kat tiolet bowl, sure tak keluar punyer... sampai sakit pinggang membongkok nak pegang dia... memang tak mau keluar!
Instead she wanted to wear diaper dan menunaikan hajatnyer dlm diapers... kencing sekali jer pastu dah nak buang diaper tu... nanti nak kencing lagi satu jam.. nak pakai diaper baru.... haduihh... kopakss... penat dah toilet training... sampai tak laratt... tapi tak jalan jugak... *infact I started her toilet training was a bit too early... i guess... masa umoq sethn setengah :p*

But now... *2 yrs 9 mths* dgn sendirinye dia nak pegi toilet bukak seluar sendiri... but then kencing berdiri dlm bath tub... not in the toilet bowl!! *berdiri??!! suspect ni pengaruh Aiman & Daniel la ini.... isykk... tak baik tau... main tuduh2 jer aku nih!* Nenet la jadi mangsa... kena basuh bath tub banyak kali.... *muahahah... berkilat bath tub gua...*

Sekarang ni siang malam tak nak pakai diaper... kekonon dia dah tido tu nak pakaikan la... takut accident tgh malam... payah pulak nak basuh tilam tu... hhmmm... cannot maa!! abis dia bangun mengamuk tak mau pakai!!... But so far.. *dah 3 mlm dah* nak kencing, dia bangun kejut nenek nak pegi toilet... bagus!!

Aduiihh... I woke up yesterday and felt my throat sore.... Ya Allah... peritnye... I could hardly swallow my saliva! And today... makin teruk... air hidung dah start meleleh2... mcm paip pecah.... badan dah rasa sejuk lain macam... Sah la mak dah kena jangkitan si Hanna.

But Hanna nampaknye dah ok skit... hope she'll have a better tomorrow.... forever n ever....

Will I have a better tomorrow?... Wallahualam... Tepon clinic, buat appointment!

Hmm... tak leh jadi nih... So, I dating ngan u lain kali jer lah ye my dearest blog....

Ni ape ni?

Hmmm... dah lama rasanya tak update blog ni... maklum ler... skarang dah jadi student... pretty occupied with my study. Pastu si kakak Hanna pulak asik demam jer lately... *doctor said bcoz of the weather...* so jarang dah la dapat berfoya2 dgn blog ku inissss.... So.. kalau aku senyap jer... harap korang pepaham jer lah ye...

Anyways..... Cuba teka ape benda ni?... Dah lama dah jeling benda alah ni... feeling of guilt is all over me... It's been 3 month this thing has been leaning against the wall in my bedroom... and yet I buat donno jer.... until last nite.

Taa..daaa... mcm ni la ropenye actually benda ni setelah di unwrapped.

It's an exercise equipment bertajuk "Fit N Fold" Strider. I like this piece of machine... It's cheap (beli kat kedai Smartshop Leisure Mall Cheras), light weight, easy to use, low impact total body workout and it's works for me. Beli dulu masa zaman gemuks lepas beranak and it got fully utilised during nursing the baby era... It kept me fit, maintained my weight and help flatened my tummy. Maklum lerr... akak kan makan banyak walaupun bersaiz XS... my tummy is expendable *perut stokin*.... so buruk bebenor rupeku yg dah la pendek... berperut buncits la pulak *sorry friends.... no offence kalo ade sesape terasa... I'm only talking about me...* I liked it so much and bought another one for my mom.

Ya... ya... I know! I'm well aware there is a sophisticated state-of-art gym down here at level 2 (it's one of the condo apt facilities) . I went there twice only.... but Abaji is a regular visitor *caya lah Yangg...* Gym dia kecik jer tapi sume benda ade... you name it lah... machine canggih2 plak tuh... for stamina, total body workout, stretching, abs crushing, muscle toning, body building etc..etc... siap ngan hula hoop, skipping rope... and Pilates equipment la bagaii....

But I still like 'kuda tunggangan' ku inisss.... sbb takyah nak kuar rumah... takyah pakai sports attire dan susah2 tekan lift nak turun bawah (haiiyaa.. nak tekan lift pun susah ka...? kronik... kronik...). Just wearing my everyday pyjamas, hop up and stride... tapi masalahnyer (masalah lagi...) nak berISTIQOMAH tu la yg payah!!... *most of the time benda ni tersandar jer lah kat dinding*. Dah la skarang jarang gi hantar bekal sbb sejukk.... wa tarak tahan maa! So physical activities agak kurengg la now... *except sessi berjoget bersama Hanna* So bila dah tak braper fit ni... berjoget bersama Hanna cepat la semput!

Kaki Joget...

I could not stop myself from repeating this video clip over and over again!.. (sampai tak jadi aku nak study...) Usually she made me or nenet... sometime abaji, join her on the floor... dan yg bestnye tu menari lagu nasyid kanak-kanak "Cintai Allah Cintai Islam".... aduii... apela nak jadi anak aku ni. But I myself like singing n dancing very much! *Karaoke tahap gaban!!... hehehee...* Like mother like daugher... muahahaha!

Lagi satu nak gelihati... I was downloading Fergie on "Big Girls Don't Cry", and the next day, masa tengah main-main tu, I heard her humming that song sambil pasang Lego. Tergezutt akakk!!... (padahal masa tgh download tu dia buat tak pot jerr...)

I asked "Hanna nyanyi lagu ape?"... heheheh dia terus tersipu2 *ketengi* menjawab "Lagu mak la...." hahahahaa... sejak bile aku jadi Fergie?! Pastu dia tukar lagu... "To the left... to the left..." lohhh.... Beyonce plak dahh?!!

Nenet Oh! Nenett...

Kesian kat makcik a.k.a nenek.... sakit gigi dah berapa hari dah... went to dentist at Chinatown (murah sket charge dia compared to here...). Doctor found that she had gum infection... quite bad... 3 gigi geraham upper right side were loosen. Another wisdom tooth upper left side also erupted. Patut la sakit sangat dia 2-3 hari ni. What's more, she had tartar all over the teeth need to be professionally cleansed to prevent further damage. Normal scaling won't help! So today, bersihkan tartar, cabut 3 gigi geraham sekali gus dan makan antibiotics for a week... scary jugak tengok dia... siap kena jahit gusi la bagai! Next 3 weeks will be another appointment to extract her other wisdom tooth. And yg podihhnye... she doesn't have insurance... hhmmm *melayang la duit abaji $525 all together.... kwangg..kwang...kwanggg.....*

Doctor said it was mainly due to poor mouth hygiene since childhood. Mana taknye.. 40 tahun tak gosok betul! Dan dia tak pernah jumpa dentist seumur hidup (what do u expect... dok kat pendalaman Indon sana...) kecuali abaji pernah bawak dia sekali masa kat KL dulu! (pi cabut geraham kecik goyang... )

Balik dari clinic aku dengan automatiknye menjadi cikgu darjah satu! Ambik berus gigi... dan demo kat dia cara memberus gigi yg betul... siap dengan floss skali pastu kumur ngan listerine! Ingatkan selama ni supply dia dgn all those hygienic tools dah cukup... rope2nye kena tunjuk ajar jugakk. Hehehe... teringat masa skolah rendah dulu... patut la cikgu ajar berus gigi dlm kelas... ;) Ni kira mcm belajar masak gaks ler... sediakan peralatan memasak and all ingredients jer tak leh jadi... kena buat practical jugak lah kaedahnyer....

Moral of the story: "Prevention is better that cure" *ellehh.. tu dah koman sgt...* "Prevention is the best INVESTMENT!"

Let it Snow...

"Han... Hanna... bangun Hann... tengok itu cantik tu salju... Saljunya dah turun... Ya Allohh... cantik saljunya seperti kapok..." (kapok=kapas). Ape la nenet ni kacau orang nak tido sama Hanna... baru kol 8.00 pagi... (penat travel frm LA tak ilang lagi). I woke up and looked at the window... Masyaallahh!!... cantiknyee... padan la makcik kecoh satu macam. Jakun tengok salji rupanya... (aku pun jakun gaks!!) Maklum la... 1st time... buka tingkap sket... cekut salji tepi tingkap... main ngan Hanna... hehehee.... Rasa mcm nak kuar time tu gak main salji... tapi... ishhhh... sejuknye mintak ampun... now is -4 degree celcius.

Great Breakaway!!

Hmm.. what else can I say except a big THANK YOU to my beloved Hubby (sbb bagi Mak ikut sama...)and the Payden&Rygel management (counterparty or fund manager or business associates... or whatever relationship u hv with BNM... i donch care!...) for the very warm hospitality and 1st class treatment!

The Lakers game was great (mana taknye... tengok live from VIP lounge. Yes!.. we got VIP ticket!). Just imagine the the shortest player in the court was 6'3".... and I thought I've married to a verrryyy tall guy... And with my super duper tiny asian size... aku rasa mcm semut jer lah if standing beside those players.

The dinner before the game was superb!.. We ate at the Palm... (again seafood fine dine) . But the environment and conversation this time was a bit more relax and informal... I like! Hahaha... rasa gelihati bila teringat how I was scrutinizing the menu and asked so many questions on what they pun in the food... (rasa mcm buat audit plak!). Diorang yg dah paham our restriction siap panggil cook lagi to customize the dishes according to our Muslim needs.

And while Abaji was working on the next day, Vera Lin the Portfolio Analyst volunteered to become my chauffeur.... memang terasa mcm mak datin pulak hari tu... siap ade driver lagiks. We went to the Getty Center for architecture and garden tours. Ingatkan boring... rupa2 nye best giler!! The place, the building, the gardens and surroundings were breathtakingly amazing!

On the 3rd day I made a quick tour to the Walt Disney Concert Hall... hhmm a very unique and brilliant architectural design indeed. After our farewell lunch with them... (fine dine again of course...) we went to Pasadena Old Town for shopping. We were looking for some souvenirs for Hanna and Shelly's boys but found nothing suitable. I got myself an LA blue baby-T and Abaji bought himself a very nice black stripe shirt from Guess... apa daa Abaji... Guess berlambak kat NY tanak beli... hmm.. tak tau nak beli ape... banyak outlet sama jer mcm kat NY... end up buying LA T-shirts for those kids kat airport before departure.

Kesimpulannye: I had an awesome breakway in LA's perfect weather!

Reached home by midnite.... omakk aiii.... cuaca in NY sejuk tak hingat!!... kakak Hanna was soundly asleep as we entered the door... and CIFP materials fresh from Malaysia awaited me at my desk!... ok.. esok start jadi budak skolah balik... hahahahaa...
