Sedihh :-(

Called emak on Friday hari tu...

I'm sad... Abah sakit, admitted to the hospital. Emak pulak yg kena jaga dia. How come orang sakit kena jaga orang sakit?! And I'm stucked here not be able to do anything. Rasa terkilan sgt.... Luckily Haiat ade, and Hanim also is coming back for the weekend. Adik... tolong jaga Mak and Abah baik2... Kak Nom tak boleh nak tolong... sedih la!!... :-(

Ya Allah... Selamatkanlah kedua org tuaku. Ampunilah dosa mereka. Hilangkan lah derita mereka. Pelihara dan sayangikah mereka sebagaimana mereka menyayangiku semasa kecil. Sesungguhnya Engkau Maha Penyayang. Aminnn...

Arrgghh!!!

I can't denied this CIFP program is really interesting. I feel like promoting it to every Muslim and non-Muslim all over the world. Alhamdulillah, Allah bukakan hati utk mendalami ilmu Islamic Finance and Economy, and through finance and economy from Islamic perspective I learn to appreciate this beautiful Deen in every aspects of life. Islam, indeed is the solution for every problem.

But as at now, I'm stuck with 15 ESSAY ASSIGNMENTS AND PROJECT PAPERS which most of them have the SAME DEADLINE!!! Arrgghhh!!!...

.... and the solution for the above problem is simply to STRIVE!!

May Allah grant His blessing, hidayah and rahmah to all Muslims in the world. Ameenn....

*Ehh... tetiba rasa rindu kat emak pulak... Makk... saya rindu kat Mak laa... nanti saya tepon mak, ok...*

Conspiracy!

"Hanna and Abaji win!... Mak lose..!!"

Sabar je aku!!.. Eksyen kemain ye dua branak ni skarang. Selalu berkonspirasi utk menjatuhkan takhta kerajaan mak ye...!!!

Well, we love the quality of life that we have here. Especially Abaji, I think he has a more 'work-life-balance' here compared to keja KL, mmg tak belen langsung!... Although he complained sometimes about the 'nitty-greety-odd-administrative-out-of-scope' work he has to do in the office, he managed to preserve a lot more quality time for his gym sessions, studying (yess.. he's also taking CIFP part time), watch his favorite Ahmad Deedat, EPL game and TV show, read his favorite books, more time for spiritual activities, skyping with his friends and family in M'sia, teach me topics i don't understand (CIFP lah ni..) and melayan si budak Hanna tu...

And... no wonder Hanna is getting closer to Abaji. Eat abaji suap, play football, computer games, run2, sleep2, cooking2, doctor2, reading, contendor, gladiator...(dan tah mcm2 bentuk wrestling lagi lah...) dan memaksa mak ke kancah permainan.. pastu paksa mak jadi kalah... mana aci!!! Ohh!!.. komplot eh korang dorang... Me?!! jealous?!!... Neahh!!... *of course!!... hehehehe*

Western Style...

Boring dah la.. nenet asik cook Asian style... kali ni turn mak masak western cuisine lah pulak. Of course yg simple2 je lah...
Menu for tonite:
  • Grilled salmon with oyster sauce (salmon fillet marinated with blended garlic, onion, black pepper and ginger paste, grill until cooked at 400 oF)
  • Mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy (parboiled yukon potatoes mashed with melted margerine, cream and milk served with thick Cambell mushroom soup)
  • Steamed corn and mix veggie
  • Crescents (instant Phillsbury punye... baked at 375 oF till light brown... sedap giler)

Abaji liked it! Siap request bawak bekal ikan salmon gi ofis besok :) It's so rewarding melihat si bapak and anak enjoyed the meal so much...

The 4th Kitchen Experimental

Hehehehe... kidnap recipe kat blog Kak Aishah, yg bertajuk Clafouti, which was claimed to be so easy to make. http://ionoi-monday.blogspot.com/2007/12/this-is-my-clafouti.html

The experiment was conducted with chef Hanna *si tukang kacau and tukang pecah telur*. This is when I found out how the vanilla essence was derived after tired of looking non-alcohol vanilla essence all over supermarkets and stores nearby. The vanilla bean or the wood where the vanilla was grown has to be soaked with alcohol to get the extract. Ohh!! No wonder it has significant amount of alcohol written at those tiny bottles. FDA requirement of minimum of 35% alcohol mixture for it to be labeled as "Pure Vanilla Essence". There's also non-alcoholic vanila essence where the beans were soaked with glicerin instead *tapi kalau blajar chemistry... glicerin tu bukan glycol ke?.. anak beranak alcohol...*, which is called "Natural Vanilla Flavour". More info at http://www.vanilla.com/html/facts-extracts.html

Since I couldn't find the Natural Vanilla Flavour in the market so I used Maple syrup as a substitute... and letak baking powder instead of using self-raising flour.... and jengg..jengg..jenggg....

Mcm ni la rope dia jadinye... *sgt takjub so tak sampai hati nk ambil gambar after it was fresh taken from oven* mmg berbeza sunggu dari rope Clafouti dlm recipe. Nevertheless, the taste was yummielicious!!.. walaupun tak cantik. Betulll.... tak caya tanya Hanna and Nenet.... heheheh... *masuk bakul sendri angkat lah...*
