Visit to Bronx Zoo...

What a lovely sunny day after several days of down pour!!... So our plan to bring Hanna to the Zoo was on!.. Nenet woke up early in the morning prepared Nasi Goreng, Sandwiches, Fries, biscuits and drinks for picnic at the zoo. Makanan dan tikar semua masuk dlm hand luggage... hehehehe... rasa mcm nak balik kampung la pulak! Went to the subway around 9.30am... makk oii... sojukkk... 11 oC. Wind chilled 10 mph...

As usual, Hanna was the 'paling kepoh dan jakun' watching the animals. Her excitement was really reflected on her face. The zoo was big and well kept (265 acres with 4,000 animals from all over the world!). I noticed animal yg takde kat Zoo Melawati tp ade kat Bronx Zoo i.e. Gorilla, Polar Bear, walabies, and beberapa binatang lain dah tak ingat namanye... tp kat sini takde OrangUtan!!..

Paling best when visiting the Congo Gorilla Forest, watching the amazing gorilla up close & personal (with the glass barrier la of course...), and Hanna really enjoyed the Children Zoo section watching the alligators, meerkats, ponies and touching the farms animals. Memang best la dtg sini... but very the ffenatt lah!.. we didn't managed to complete the whole zoo.... too tired, tak larat dah nak jalan. Nak naik shuttle, tp Abaji tak mau... Towards the end, Hanna pun dah tertido dlm stroller dan kitorang balik sampai rumah around 5 pm. Malam tu Hanna banyak ngigau dan terbangun malam... I think she saw the 'big golilla' in her dreams... hehehehehhh.....

Raya Open House @ Mission

Tadi pegi open house kat Malaysian Embassy a.k.a Mission kat East 43rd St.

Lately slalu hujan... today pun hujan.... nasib baik tak sejuk sgt mcm semalam. We took a taxi... so boleh la melaram pakai baju kurung and high heels ku itusss... heheheh.

Haa... baru la nampak ramai sket orang M'sia time2 gathering mcm ni.... seperti biasa Ucop's and Za's family ade kat situ... main activity: makan2 sambil berkenalan la dgn kakak2 dan wifey2 org di JPM, Tourism M'sia, MIDA, MATRADE dan student2 M'sia.

Makan syeedappp.... nyamm..nyamm... M'sian food... lemang, nasi impit kuah kacang, rendang kambing, nasi minyak, meehoon goreng, ayam goreng, kek, fruits, kuih muih... etc... tp yg paling best... the unforgetable sinfully delicious chocolate cake!!.. ohhh... yummiee...

Balik.... masing2 cover perut pakai jacket... hehehe :)

CUSTARD?!.. Jeans... & PreSchool.... arrgghh!! Frust nyer!!...

I was so frustrated with these 3 things.... :(

CUSTARD....

It's been days I've wanted to make a pudding dessert for my 2nd cooking experiment after the 1st one... instant cake yg tak sedap itu telah dimakan oleh makcik... (nasib baik ade makcik.. kalau tak... dah lama masuk tong sampah...). Recipe yg Hik bagi yg bertajuk "Puding Sedap Aku" has still not been realised since I couldn't find the main ingredient... the Custard Flour.... penat dah cari serata tempat.... these Americans don't even know what is CUSTARD FLOUR!!!.. (bodo punye American... harap negara jer besar... tepung custard pon tak tau!). isskk...iskkk... sadis sungguh... end up buying the Yellow Corn Flour yg berwarna kuning ituss... as a substitute for the main ingredient. Tepungnye agak kasar dan berbiji2 walaupun dah diayak... hhmmm.... sure texture jadi lain ni..... japs lagi nak buat experiment bersama Hanna dan nenet di dapur.... hopefully jadi la that yellow corn flour kepada custard kuning yg cantik dan sedapp.... aminn...

JEANS....

2 days ago... pegi GAP lagi... hehehe... i really like the place!!.. (walaupun sale dah abis...) I bought a pair of jeans... pilih punye pilih... try this one jeans (xde price tag...) .... ngamm... tanya sales girl braper harga... is the very cheap one u know!!... $15 sahaja... mcm tak percaya.... terus beli... balik rumah i checked on the internet and the actual price was $59.50!!!.. hhmm mmg sah la minah tu dah salah tag... tp dah belikan... rezeki aku... heheheh...

Oleh kerana 'ketinggian' ku yg terlampau walaupun jeans tu petite size... kenalah alter.... went to the tailor kat bwh rumah.... dgn konfidennye tak tanya harga... terus cakap nak potong bhgian bwk kaki... mamat tu pun took my measurement and passed me the invoice... MAK DATUKKK!!!... $25.... mahal nak mampuss.... huhuuhuhhh..... biasa buat kat KL... paling mahal pun tak sampai RM10.... chehh... tensen2... jeans murahku itu telah menjadik mahal harganya... :(

PRESCHOOL....

Finally.... I found an Islamic preschool in Manhattan... tak jauh sgt la dr rumah... naik tren 3 stations jer... Thot of registerkan Hanna next year.... or seberapa cepat yg boleh... want to expose her to learn the Islamic way of life in as early age as possible... (tak nak la jadi mcm aku nie...). So I made a call for inquiry.... alahaii..... sedeynye when I found out.... classes would only be during the weekends and only accept children age 5 and above... keciwa akakk.... sekolah conventional la jugak jwbnyer si budak butat ituss....

Hanna is the Happiest Little Girl....

She's happy because......

Mak is not working.... always at home... so Hanna boleh ngada2 lebeyy!!

Abaji spends more time with her nowadays :) !

She can walk in the park....

She has lots of friends here... and her best friend is Aiman

She can press the button at the elevator to the playroom (her must do activity....)

She can play with lots of toys in the playroom... sampai susah nak suruh balik... but Mak also likes the playroom too...

She can play in the little house...

She can cook on the wooden stove....

or the in the bigger kitchen....
